    How can I prevent Windows 11 from automatically updating my display driver?


    Hi all, the question header says it all. I am looking for a way to prevent Windows 11 from automatically installing a display driver. Let me give some background as to why. I have a laptop Lenovo ThinkPad L13 that has started automatically shutting off after about 2-3 minutes of being powered on. It usually shows a BSOD for a fraction of a second before going black and restarting. The BSOD seems like it gives a different error message every time, so that has not really been helpful. I've done a good bit of troubleshooting, which is difficult when the computer only stays on for a few minutes

    This is a good solution on Pro, where you have Group Policy Editor, but not sure if it will work on Home like Cucker has.

    @cucker tarlson go to Mussels signature. In there he has a link to the WUMT (Windows Update Management Tool). I use it to download updates on my own, and hide ones i dont want. Yes, you can even hide driver updates, only doing them on your schedule.
