Windows 10: How can I protect Malware and Viruses?

I am having some problems with my windows, I am getting viruses and malware.

Please tell me how can I protect it?

Is windows defender is enough to protect my pc from viruses? Because windows defender is not able to remove malwares then I've installed malwarebytes to protect my pc.
