    How can I re-enable bitlocker Device Encryption after swapping out NVME on Windows 11 home?


    Hello,I just swapped out my NVME drive and I'm unable to re-enable bitlocker. I turned it off prior to swapping out the drive. When I try to enable bitlocker I get the following error message:"Failed to open the Bitlocker control panel tool. Error code: 0x800004005"I went into systeminfo and this is what it shows under "Device Encryption Support"Reasons for failed automatic device encryption: PCR7 binding is not supported, Un-allowed DMA Capable capable bus/devices detectedWhen I attempted to run these commands it did not work. I don't know if that's because I have home edition?C:\Windows\Sy

    Windows 10 BitLocker Drive Encryption AND Device Encryption enabled?

    Recently I looked into enabling "BitLocker Drive Encryption" on Windows 10 Pro. After enabling it, I discovered that "Device Encryption" under Settings -> Update and Security -> Device Encryption was already enabled. This is a new Lenovo laptop from 12/2020,
    bought from Lenovo with Windows 10 installed. I never enabled Device Encryption, so I'm guessing it was enabled by default. Does it matter if both "Device Encryption" AND "BitLocker Drive Protection" are BOTH enabled? Should I disable one of them?

    Win 11 HE + Bitlocker

    I knew Bitlocker was not available in Home Edition, but my new laptop did have it enabled by default. When I turned my new laptop on the first time, the nvme was completely encrypted and a padlock icon was showed on C: drive. Besides I did have Bitlocker menu entry in Start Menu. AFTER I disabled it, Bitlocker was no more available and totally disappeared.

    I read in this web page How to enable BitLocker device encryption on Windows 11 Home - Pureinfotech that in the Home Edition there is "device encryption is a light version of BitLocker." So if this is correct, why did it disappear?
