Windows 10: How can I reactivate Windows 11 Home after changing my hardware?

I purchased windows 11 from the official Amazon store for my custom built PC. I downloaded the windows 11 media installation files successfully onto my computer, I entered and activated the product key with no issue. Unfortunately, I purchased a new motherboard, and am now unable to access the windows I paid for as it says: “can’t activate windows on this device because the product key was already used on another device.” I have tried all the troubleshooting steps given on the page, however I am still not able to use the windows I purchased on my pc new motherboard. Hi,

I didn't specifically follow the steps to prepare my device for a hardware change, I was unaware.

My account does appear to be linked as I see this account that I purchased windows 11 on listed as the administrator.

I have followed the steps for after the hardware change, and with the troubleshooter I get the message 'We can’t find any devices linked to your Microsoft account that can be used for reactivating the device you’re using right now. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Microsoft account you linked to the Windows 10 digital license on this device or try again later'.

Again I didn't follow the steps to link the digital license to my account, at least to my knowledge.
