Windows 10: How can I recover files that iCloud wiped out/deleted on D drive?

I downloaded the iCloud app from Microsoft Store. I followed the setup instructions, and while following, I put D: as the destination for iCloud photos. I then continued following instructions until I realized that all my files from D drive were gone. The only thing left on D drive was a folder “Videos” so I opened the iCloud app again and changed the destination to D:/Videos, and once again, iCloud deleted the folder. I have checked the recyling bin, no files from D. I have tried recovery softwares, but I don’t trust them to work and recover my files. Is there any way to recover these files?T

i dont want the whole drive wiped, just the stuff that i've deleted in the past, wouldn't want those files to be recovered.

Does not work on a windows pc which is what the OP probably intended

windows by default does not have HFS and HFS+ based hard drives.
Able to perform retrieval on both HFS and HFS+ based hard drives. and so will not work with windows
