    Looking for help - I registered my laptop 3 years ago, using an e-mail that is now deactivated. I have had to replace the motherboard in my computer, and need the Bitlocker codes to open the drive. However, I do not have access to the e-mail anymore.I need the content of my drive. If anyone knows how to recover these codes, given that the e-mail account is now deactivated, I would really appreciate a response.Kind regards

    My device was never registered, but need BitLocker Code.

    My device is not listed under either my or my husband's Microsoft account. It won't turn on at all so I took it to repair shop. They always back up data before mailing a device off for repair, but when they hook up a backup device, it's asking for a Bitlocker Code. Since it's not listed as a device in either of our accounts, can I register it now? Will that give me the Bitlocker code?

    No default e-mail application registered on computer.

    Have just upgraded to Windows 10 and am using the Microsoft Mail app. When attempting to e-mail a scan from my Brother printer, I get the following: "There is no default e-mail application registered on your computer. Please configure the default e-mail
    application."

    Mail is selected as my default program, and in "Set Program Access and Computer Defaults," under "Custom", the only choice for e-mail is "Use my current e-mail program."

    Any thoughts?

    Ok so i did some digging and took a bit from this guide here: How to recover Windows Mail data and settings from a corrupted user profile - The Winhelponline Blog I did the first 2 steps (I didn't think it was that simple!) to copy the messages/accounts/contacts, but ignored the rest since the guide was set up for creating a new account on the same computer. I installed windows live mail 2012 which i think is what they had, and everything is back to what it was. Thanks for the suggestions along the way!
