Windows 10: How can I recover my daughters account?

I am trying to add my daughters account to my family using her phone number. I can successfully send the code notification to her phone however when she is promoted to sign in it says the phone number is associated to a Microsoft account that is not hers. We cannot secure her account or change the password or do any kind of recovery because it will not allow us to sign in. When we do a user name recovery it only shows a partial email address. We do not recognize this email. I could set her up a different account, but cannot associate her phone number to it because it is already associated to t

There is a GroupMe account with my daughter's phone number but someone else's email. She cannot receive the reset emails so how can she create her own account?

Remember, it’s important to keep your personal information secure. In the future, consider enabling two-step verification for added security. This will require re-verification of the phone number each time two-step verification is turned off or on again.

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:
