Windows 10: How can I relocate my pictures folder to its default location?

I recently installed a new SSD just for my OS and I wanted to have all my media files on my HDD. therefore I was trying to change the location of my pictures folder by going to properties > move > "F:\Users\Varad\Pictures" but accidently I clicked enter when I had just selected the volume F. my entire vol. F of 600gb has became my pictures folder. Now, when I go to pictures > properties> location> restore default, it shows an error saying : Failed to build the list of regular subdirectories under "F:\Config.Msi". Access is denied.I tried to make changes in the registry itself, e

A corrupted user account is a possible cause of the issue you're experiencing with relocating the
Pictures folder. That being said, we'll need more details to properly address your concern. Please answer the following:

• Since you mentioned that the Pictures folder is set to OneDrive, have you tried setting it back to
  This PC only? Right-click the OneDrive icon >
  Settings > Auto Save, set Pictures to
  This PC only.
  
• Are you experiencing the same issue with other user accounts on the PC?
  
• Can you send us a screenshot
  of the Properties of the Pictures folder?

If the issue continues even after changing back the save location of the Pictures folder from
OneDrive to This PC only, we advise you to unlink
OneDrive. Make sure all your personal files are synced first before performing this procedure. Follow the steps found in this

article on how to unlink OneDrive. Try to set the location of the
Picture folder back to default.

Cannot relocate Documents/Pictures anymore from the default location

To "unlock", you have to disable the OneDrive "Backkup" for those folders from the OneDrive settings dialog:




That restores the folders to their default USerProfile locations, but the content remains in the local OneDrive folders & has to be moved manually.

Once that's done, the folders can be relocated like the others.
