  1. How can I reset my display's color settings and applied modifications?

Hello. I have used the Windows color calibration tool, made a new profile, messed with the colors, but I realized it's worse than it was, and now I want to change it back to the Windows defaults, but I don't know how to. I have the Intel Graphics Control panel that has some color correction settings, it seems like I kept those the default. Can someone tell me how can I reset basically every color correction/modifications, like filters, from settings, and Intel's color correction settings as well, just to be sure? Thanks!

    :)

  2. How to reset the display settings, color resolution, basically everything to do with color?

Oh I see. Well to set the resolution, you can right-click wallpaper and choose Display Settings. I'd make sure your resolution is set to the native/recommended resolution that actually matches how many pixel dots your screen really has.

But then the color settings, I'd try this:

    • Go to Settings > System > Display. Scroll down and choose the Display Adapter Properties link.
    • Go to the Color Management tab, and click the Color Management button.
    • Go to the Advanced tab, and click the Calibrate display button.

If that still doesn't get it back, I'd also try this:

    • Click Start to show your Start menu, type "clear" into the keyboard and choose the "Adjust ClearType Text" option.
    • Follow this tool to tune your display more.

Beyond that, the next steps are usually to use either the display's buttons to adjust the contrast/brightness. Although if you're on a laptop, those buttons may not exist. The laptop builder might have some software for their machine, but it varies around
    by builder.

  3. Color scheme reset

    Hi Arzesen,

Setting the color scheme on your computer is a good way to reduce strain on the eyes and also ensure that you'll be able to work with a screen suitable for your needs. To address your concern, I just would like to know, what is the build installed on your
Windows 10? You'd be able to have that checked by pressing the
    Windows button + R
to open the Run box, and then type
    winver
    and press Enter.

While waiting for your response, I suggest that you check the display settings for night time on Windows 10.
This could be one possible factor that might be overriding the settings you apply. Another way would be by ensuring that the
Color Management by performing these steps:

    1. Right click on your Desktop and click on Display settings.
    2. Under the Display options, look for Display adapter properties.
    3. Once you've opened the Properties for your Display Settings, click on the
      Color Management tab.
    4. Click on the Color Management... button.
    5. On the Color Management window, tick on the Use my settings for this device and click on
      Close button.

Please don't hesitate to keep me posted on your thread of the results.

How can I reset my display's color settings and applied modifications?

Color profile not applying to one display

    Hello,

I recently installed Windows 10 on my laptop but since that installation I noticed that my color profiles were removed (probably an error on my part), so I looked and managed to install one into Color Management. It installed but only changed the display on my external monitor, and when I tried applying the settings to my laptop display they didn't change anything.

I was just wondering if I was missing any additional applications that prevented my laptop's display from loading the color profiles. It really isn't much of a problem but it would be nice to apply a profile since it seems some of the colors are washed out and the blues and greens are different tones than the monitor's display.

    Thanks!
