Windows 10: How can I reset my Hololens Gen1?

How to connect to hololens via Wifi ?

To connect to Hololens via Wi-Fi and access its Device Portal, you can follow these steps:

Connect both your Hololens and desktop/laptop to the same Wi-Fi network.

Turn on Developer mode and Device discovery on your Hololens by going to Settings > Update & Security > For developers, and select the options accordingly.

Make sure your Hololens is discoverable by going to Settings > Update & Security > Device discovery and turning it on.

Check the IP address of your Hololens by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Advanced options, and note down the IP address.

Open a browser on your desktop/laptop and enter the IP address of your Hololens in the address bar. This should open the Device Portal login page.

Enter the username and password to log in. The default username is "hololens" and the password is the same as your Hololens login password.

Once logged in, you can access and manage your Hololens through the Device Portal.

If you are unable to turn on the Device Portal on your Windows 10 Pro, version 22H2, OS build, you may need to check if there are any updates available for your Hololens or try resetting it to its default settings. You can also try contacting Microsoft Support for further assistance.

1). Run System File Checker and Dism scans

Run SFC first then Dism then SFC again.

Reboot

Try the apps is scans revealed all was well

If they do not work go to Step 2

2) Reregister Windows Store apps

Right click on Start > Select PowerShell (Admin)

Copy/Paste the following command into the window and press Enter.

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Once command finishes executing, reboot and retry the apps.

If still having issues, go t Step 3

3) Start > Settings > Apps

Scroll down to Microsoft Edge (which takes the longest time to load) > Select

Select Advanced Options

Select > Repair

If that does not alleviate the issue, go back and click on Reset in Advanced options.

HoloLens may be Restarted, Reset or Recovered by following these steps.
