Windows 10: How can I reset the default links on Quick Access / Home?

I have a computer where someone tried to remap some default links on Quick Access/ Home to point to other places Files, Music, and Documents. I have done this before myself, but he pointed them all to the same folder which is in a Google Drive G:/, so now all the defaults point to that folder. This confuses Explorer in many ways, like downloads, thinking docs are music, etc. Creating a new local account isn't a solution, as he uses his Microsoft account to log in, so this profile is probably synched and will return.The ideal solution would be to reset those default folders to system defaul

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

Quick access - files and folders dropping from Quick access

After poking around for some time I have still not been able to resolve this issue. I reset folders, settings etc. I rebuilt my "Quick Access" list after trying a few of these solutions. It appeared to be working but overnight (with no activity on my computer, as far as I know) my Quick Access list reset to the default of just Desktop, Downloads, Documents and Pictures. There are recent folders listed also.

Recall I already reloaded the system once. I'd rather not do that again.

Any other suggestions or pointers?
