Windows 10: How can I restore a previous backup after setting up my laptop as a new one or how do I go...

Hello to anyone who may be able to help, I recently got a new laptop after running into some problems with my old one. Both laptops are Windows 11. My old one was stuck frozen on one screen so I wasn't able to back it up or figure out which Microsoft account I had been logged into on that one I have several through school, work, and personal. I ended up making a new Microsoft account to be able to set up my new laptop. My dad is pretty good with computers though, and was able to help me fix the issue with my old laptop enough that I was able to get it backed up, my files off it, and get the

Recovering a backup from a previous computer to a new laptop

I used Windows 10 backup functionality to create the backup on a previous laptop. Now I am trying to restore that backup to a new laptop...

 

Backup did not restore

My Microsoft account previous Lumia (630) backup did not get restored on anew Lumia (650). I have properly logged in at the initial start of the new device, but did not see a list of backups to restore from. All SMS, settings, apps list are missing. Did
Microsoft delete my backup?

I want to buy a new laptop with win 11. QUESTION: Can I do a backup from my old win10 laptop and THEN restore into my new win 11 laptop? Could you please give all the steps? Thank you from friends.
