    How can I restore access to my Windows/Xbox store apps after cloning hard drive?


    I have a WindowsApps folder on my E: drive, with a number of applications installed to it.This hard drive started to report bad sectors, so I cloned it to a new hard drive and replaced it in my system, so that the new drive has the exact same contents as the old one and is also drive letter E:.Other launchers like Steam and EGS, which have installation folders on the same drive, work out of the box, but I am unable to access my Windows and Xbox apps/games.When I try to launch one of them via a desktop shortcut, I get the following message:"Yakuza 3 PC can’t open because it is offline.     Free hard drive backup/restore program?

    I am looking for a free (freeware) program that will back up and restore a hard drive. I'm looking to clone a few external hard drives. If the program will backup the used space instead of the whole drive this will be awesome! Thanks for any suggestions.

    How to clone a hard drive?

    I'm a little confused about one thing with this guide.

    If my existing HDD is unplugged, and the only thing plugged in is my new, blank, SSD...where is the system image being stored for Windows to restore from?

    Edit: I missed the part where it says you'll need an extra HDD to do this, my bad. Do you know if an external HDD would work to store the system image on?
