How can I restore files to my respective personal and work accounts without losing data...

The other day I allowed OneDrive to back up my files when prompted while working in a personal file. I mistakenly thought only the folder I was currently working in would be backed up. I work from home, so I have a password-protected account for personal use and a separate password-protected account for work use on the same computer, with different programs, files and shortcuts set up in each. Both accounts contain sensitive data, and sometimes my work files need to be accessed by IT or management. OneDrive transferred everything across accounts and will not allow me to keep any files, program

    Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

  3. Microsoft work and personal accounts

I have two different Microsoft accounts. One for work and one for personal use. Each account is linked to a different PC.

Lately, I rarely use my personal desktop PC and only use my work Laptop.

What I need to know is, if there is an option so that I could link or merge the two accounts, or maybe add my personal account to my work laptop so that I have my personal settings added and can access them for the laptop as well as my desktop.

What I would need is access to my personal contacts, OneDrive, Skype etc, without losing the respective work options. Also I would not like them to be merged in to one big mess. Like, for example, having one large Skype contact list containing personal and
    work contacts.

    Thank you.

    Clearing (and restoring) Private data

Hi I have some Questions about „cleaning“ up or removing personal/private data & configuration from a Windows 10 PC.

It is about a PC that should be sent to the Vendor to get repaired.
It is not my PC but from a friend.
Usually in such a case I would create an image from the System and reset the OS to factory settings to wipe the data/settings.
But this time I don’t have enough space (and will not have time for it) (Don’t need suggestions for Imaging).

The normal Data (documents, pictures …) are regularly saved / backup so not needed to be saved additionally.
The goal would be removing / backing up the personal Data (in a fast and space saving way) to have them removed and make it possible to put them back, but not deleting /removing the installed Programs, applications and Games (Win32).

From my experience with Windows 7 or Older PCs I would also:

    • Browser: backup Profile and clean it (Easy to restore)
    • Mail Program: backup Profile and clean it (Easy to restore)
    • Change User password (easy to restore)

But as for Windows 10 there are some new … implications about the

    • connected Microsoft account
    • and the Apps

    How to deal with them?
How to remove / disconnect them in a way I can restore afterwards again?
