    How can I restore my saved files following W10 reinstall?


    Today I reinstalled W10 and chose the option to back up my data files. I now have the backed-up files on an external HDD in a folder RestoreApplet.resources but don't know how to re-introduce the files to my new installation. It asks to insert disk(s) and my files are backed up to a HDD - not CD/DVDs. Also I want to minimize redundancy, which may happen if I copy the non-compressed files shown in the "RestoreApplet.resources" folder. Many files appear to be in many small folders, each with single files "RestoreApplet.resources.dll" Does Windows have a routine to automatically restore these backed up files? Thanks.

    How to save and re-install personal files following clean reinstall of W10

    I have to do a clean reinstall of W10 on my laptop. I have saved the contents of my hard drive onto a USB drive. I have also created an installation usb in preparation for a clean reinstall of W10. Once this is completed, how do I reinstall my personal
    files etc? Thanks.

    Windows XP PRO error after restore

    System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.

    Restore W10 File History backup on W8.1 - possible?

    Is it possible to restore a File History backup from Windows 10 to a Windows 8.1 installation? I do know it is possible to restore a backup from W10 to W10.

    I am considering downgrading my laptop from W10 to W8.1. Obviously the first step is to back up all of my data there before reinstallation; if this is possible, then I don't have to manually copy my data to my backup drive, which should make things a bit
    easier.
