    How can I retrieve my Windows 10 Product ID?


    Hello,


    I was attempting to transfer my windows 10 pro activation to another pc.

    However, I already deactivated the one on my previous pc without getting the product id.

    How do I retrieve my product key so I can use it to activate my windows 10 in another pc?


    Luckily, I do have some details before I have deactivated it.

    Product ID

    Hi Russell,

    We appreciate the information you've provided regarding the product ID. To resolve your concern, we suggest that you do the following steps:

    • Click on Start and type: Command Prompt.
    • Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
    • Type: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey.
    • Press Enter. That should give you the product key to type in the activation.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Hi, I have recently purchased a laptop with Windows 10 installed. After that, I have formatted my Hard Drive, and installed Ubuntu on the machine. Now I want to use my previously purchased Windows 10 license for Windows
    10 running in VirtualBox, but I do not have the Product Key, only Product ID. How can I retrieve the Product Key from Product ID?
