Windows 10: How can I return to using login pwd instead of PIN?

Several months ago Windows 10 prompted me to use a login PIN instead of my normal use of a password. So I traded my 9-character password for a 4-digit PIN, but now I don't feel that the change is safer. Unless there's an unknown advantage to using a PIN, how can I safely go back to using a password for login? Thanks.

Windows 10 login without user account and pwd or pin code

I have Lenovo laptop and Windows 10.

When I boot my laptop, I will get error message: "User account or password wrong. Try again"

This message comes under my full name and user account and pwd.

What is this user account and pwd. I haven't created any.

Luckily there is another option where is my
full name and pin code (but no user account).

When I enter pin code I can login into the Windows.

[That pin code seems to be the same code which Microsoft asked to create a couple of days ago.

I thought that this short pin code helps me to get rid of long MS pwds, which I have many for private and company purposes.

But I didn't understand that I have to enter that pin code every time I'm login into my laptop!]

I have already done netplwiz -command
from Windows-> Run, but no effect.

I also tried from Control Panel to edit my own admin / owner account, but cannot do anything.

I would like to login into Windows without any user account and pwd or pin code?

What are the right steps in this situation?

I suggest you to create a PIN for your device and try the on screen keyboard to login to the same.

You may follow the steps below to create PIN protection for your device.

• 
  Go to Settings and select account.
  
• 
  Click on sign in option and Go to PIN option.
  
• 
  Now click on Add and set PIN for login.
  

You can use the same PIN to login to your device using the on screen Keyboard from ease of access option and verify the result.

Unable to login using The login PIN

Thank you for contacting Microsoft community.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the pin and check fi it helps.

• In the login page next to “PIN password option”.
• You will find “Other sign in options”, click on it will prompt you for regular password.
• Enter regular password and login to the computer.
• I suggest you to click on the Start Menu
  and select settings.
• Now select Accounts.
• Next select the tab Sign-in option.
• Under the “PIN tab” click on “ADD” option.
• It will prompt you for current pin password and new password, please provide
  new password then apply the changes, restart
  the computer and check if it works.
