Windows 10: How can I revert back from making changes to who has access to files and drives? My account...

Greetings. I was recently moving large amounts of data amongst all my internal drives and had made changes to who "owns" access to certain files and drives. My issue now is my PC changed my sign in option from my pin to using my email and password instead. I don't remember what I did that made this change and now my system is telling me that "some of these settings are managed by your organization. I had already removed my school account so I shouldn't have an organization managing anything. I can't even change how I can sign in and this "organization" is preventing me from creating a pin to l

Cannot access shared network drive


Personally, I wouldnt use Everyone. If anyone hacks into you, they have full access to everything and can demolish everything on your raid. I would rather set up accounts and access separately for each person. That way, I know who did all that damage. In the end with a little extra work, I feel more secure by using Authenticated Users.

step 1 create non-microsoft account and without email and address without admin rights
step 2 share a drive or folder to specific user account (if Everyone is listed, remove it)
step 3 set security > add Authenticated Users (if more than 1 account) or add specific users
step 3a remove Everyone from list
step 3b uncheck full control and write for all items listed except SYSTEM and Admin account.
step 4 right click Start > Computer Management > System Tools > Shared Folders > Shares ... to verify settings and change anything else. You can also see the number of connections to each share here.

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

If you want to change the account name in your file path, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Make a local account first with the name you want, then sign into a Microsoft account.
• Open your C: Drive and then go to the Users folder. Check if you see the other account there.
• Delete the account and then change your Local Account into your Microsoft account.
