  1. How can i run a program as an administrator on windows 10 home?

Hello, I am attempting to run nice hash on my computer as an administrator, but it gives me an error "this app has been blocked for your protection" I have googled several solutions, such as add it to windows antivirus exclusions list, which did not work, and to use the group policy editor, which i could not access as i am using windows 10 home. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    :)

  2. Unable to Run Certain Applications Without Running as Administrator [Windows 10 x64bit]

Hello vincent7763, my name is Irisdiel and I am an independent advisor.

To always run applications as administrator I would suggest following the below instructions followed by a URL that you may refer to for more information.

Step 1: Open the Start menu and click All apps. Find the program you want to always run in administrator mode and right-click on the shortcut. In the pop-up menu, click Open file location. Only desktop programs (not native Windows 10 apps) will have this option.

Step 2: A File Explorer window will open to the location of the program you want to access. Right-click on the program and click Properties from the pop-up menu.

Step 3: In the Properties window, click the Shortcut tab and then click Advanced...

Step 4: In the Advanced Properties window, check the box next to Run as administrator and click OK.

Step 5: The program will now open in administrator mode when you click the shortcut from the Start menu. You'll need to repeat these steps for each program you want to have this feature.

    Thank you and good luck.

  4. How can i run a program as an administrator on windows 10 home?

Cannot run a program from an Administrator account

    Hi,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

    • Have you tried with other programs?
    • Is this issue confined only with particular app\program?
I suggest you to check with other apps\programs and let us know with the result.

Also enter the following command to enable the hidden administrator account:

    net user administrator /active:yes

Note: Disable the account by running the following command after troubleshooting the issue:

    net user administrator /active:no

Once you have enabled the account, you will see it listed in the user accounts control panel applet. Note that the account has not assigned a password to it, and that you should consider setting one to improve account security.

Hope this information was helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist.
