    How can I safety clean my c:\Users folder


    I have a Precision 5570 laptop and installed Windows 11 Pro. Currently, my c;\User folder has a few folders that have similar name patterns: As I can see, the name of the main folder for the user is Precision but the name of the PC is Dell5570.I want to clean and delete unused folders, but not sure how to do it correctly and safely.Could someone help/assist with this issue?

    Vista Ultimate - 'User' Folder Location

    No tried that.

    Can copy the entire folder to D; but Windows still points to C as the location. Can change personal folders location to a folder on D;, but this still leaves hidden files etc on C;. Thus meaning there are 2 Users folders. Have managed to change the Public folder location to D;, with some registry tweaks, but this doesnt seem to work for the entire folder.

    any more suggestions

    User Profile Service failed

    To resolve your concern, we suggest that you follow these steps:

    • Copy the Default folder (in C:\Users) from another windows 10 computer.
    • Rename the Default folder to something like DefaultOLD (just to keep it for safety reasons).
    • Paste it in your Users folder.
    • To make sure that you won't have problems with permissions of the "implant" folder, just transfer it via a FAT/FAT32 formatted USB stick (those filesystems don't have permissions).

    This will provide solution to the error User Profile Service failed.

    As you can see in this image, "All Users" does exist.
    Also, where do you find C:\ProgramData, as it is not listed on my machine?
