How can I save my Calibration in 'Display Calibration' to run at all times by default?

I have lowered my gamma level within the built-in 'Display Calibration' program in Windows 10, but whenever I turn my PC off and turn it on again, or whenever I restart my PC, the custom gamma adjustment I made doesn't get applied. In order to get my customly created gamma level back I need to open the 'Display Calibration' program itself and then exit out of the window. Doing this then 'wakes up' or 'reactivates' the custom gamma level that I previously made.Is there a way where I can simply have the custom gamma level I set via the built-in 'Display Calibration' program to automatically run

    :)

    Display Color Calibration

We appreciate the detailed information. You can try uninstalling the driver in Device Manager and reboot the device. After the restart the system will automatically install the driver, then you can try to

    calibrate the display
    again.

If you don't want to uninstall the driver, we suggest that you try the below steps:

    • Go to Color Management using Search or Cortana.
    • Click on Advanced tab.
    • Select Change system defaults.
    • On the new window, click on the “Advanced” tab on the upper side of the window.
    • Now you will need to check the box next to “Use Windows default calibration”.
    • Left click or tap on the “Close” button.
    • Left click on the “Devices” tab you have on the upper side of the window.
    • Select the “Set as default profile”.
    • Reboot the device and see if your calibrate screen feature is okay now.

Let us know how it goes.

  3. How to remove or reset Windows display calibration to the default?

    Hi Kom,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to restore to default and check.

You must be logged on with a user account that has administrative privileges to make the below changes:

    1. In the search box, type
    color management, and then click
    Color Management.

    2. Click the Advanced tab, and click Change system defaults.

In Windows, you can use Display Color Calibration to calibrate your display. Before starting Display Color Calibration, make sure that your display is set to its native resolution. This helps to improve the accuracy of the resulting calibration.

    1) Type display color calibration in the search box and then try to follow the on screen instructions to reset the calibration.

    Thanks.

How can I save my Calibration in 'Display Calibration' to run at all times by default?

    Display Color Calibration

    Hi again, Jelo San,

Thank you for trying to help me with the calibration problem.

First I did the Color Management part, and could not select the "Set as default profile" because that was greyed. I rebooted and tried to calibrate the screen and got the following message:

"Display Color Calibration can't turn off Windows calibration management. Element not found".

Then, I tried uninstalling the driver and rebooting. Got following message:

Display Color Calibration can't save the new calibration. Close other programs that are open, and then try again.

    Element not found.

There were no other programs open...

At this point I am about to give up.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Valerie
