Windows 10: how can i set instagram as a default app in my store

Discus and support how can i set instagram as a default app in my store in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I don't know how to set Instagram as my default app I tried I want to settings and then apps and then set as  default app it ask me to choose...     I don't know how to set Instagram as my default app I tried I want to settings and then apps and then set as  default app it ask me to choose default app in windows store but I can't find its file type . please tell me how can I change it into its file type

    In order to diagnose the issue, we suggest that you try the following methods:

    Method 1: Run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter.

    Kindly run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter.
    To run it, follow the steps below:

    • Click Start.
    • On the search bar, type Troubleshooting, and click on
      Troubleshooting       from the results.
    • On the left pane, click View all.
    • Click Windows Store Apps.

    Method 2: Clear Windows Store app cache.

    We suggest that you manually reset the Windows Store app cache
    and then try to download the Instagram app again. To manually reset, follow the steps below:

    • Click Start.
    • On the search bar, type CMD, and right-click CMD
      from the results.
    • Click Run as administrator.
    • Type wsreset, and press Enter.

    Let us know how it goes for us to assist you further.

    Cannot find the instagram app in the Microsoft App Store

    Unfortunately, Instagram app is not available in Windows Store. I would suggest you to contact Instagram support for any update regarding the availability:

    Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild


    Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

    I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

    Might be helpful to list what i've done *Smile I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

    I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.
