Windows 10: How can I set my Documents File to be store locally instead of being on Cloud, and how do I...

Right now when I open File explorer and go to home, Downloads, Pictures, Music, Video, exist, and there are two Documents. One is stored locally, and the other is from my cloud. For some reason, everything that I'm downloading, using was getting shipped to my cloud. I recently manually transferred all my files except documents from the cloud file to the local file, but new files are still showing up in the cloud. Can I simply completely exclude cloud from being in as any part of my computer, or does it have to exist on the comp and always eat my files... ?

Links documents in the cloud instead of the harddrive

Hi

When I press Windows+Tab on the keyboard I get recents apps and documents.

The problem is, that all the documents are linked to the cloud, like d.docs.live.net instead of C:/onedrive/...

When I press a recent document, a browser opens the document in Word Online - in the browser and not in the Word app as it should.

I have tried to change the settings in Word (Save to this computer as default), but with no luck.

Any suggestions?

Recent shortcuts for apps show files on OneDrive instead of local hard drive

I was able to follow the steps and uncheck the "Use Office apps to sync" box but it didn't change Office's behavior. I opened and closed an Excel spreadsheet on my local hard drive. After that, when I right-clicked on the Excel icon pinned to the taskbar, a link to the OneDrive cloud file was in the list of recent files instead of a link to the file on my hard drive.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Documents Folder is set to One Drive instead of locally

On my new computer, if I right-click my Documents folder under "This PC", I see that it is set to the OneDrive folder. But need my documents available offline too and want it the way it was with my old computer. There it would save locally and send a copy to OneDrive.

How can I change this mapping to be local (C:\Users\myname\Documetns) instead of OneDrive and still have OneDrive keep a copy?

Barring that, how about still making Documents be local, and I'll move to OneDrive what I want there?
