Windows 10: How can I set up a thermal printer to print the shipping label off a packing slip?

An old computer at work was able to do this but I can't examine it anymore to figure it out. Basically, we get orders and are given a packing slip to put into the package, and on the same sheet is a prepaid shipping label. We can print the packing slip from a normal printer, and on the old computer when switching to the thermal printer, it would only print the shipping label section. How do I set this up?

2. Since when are you facing this issue?
   
3. Have you made any changes to settings prior to this issue?
   
4. Which version of Windows is running on your device?
   

You may try the below suggested steps.

1. Go to devices in Settings
   > Double click on the printer > Click on
   Printer Properties > Go to Advanced tab.
   
2. You will see “Printing Defaults”. Click on it and set the option from the drop down menu and click on
   OK and check the status of the issue.

Not able to print shipping labels after installing Windows 10. Why?

1. From which browser are you trying to print the shipping labels?

2. Are you getting any error message or error code?

Check if you are able to print through Internet Explorer.

To find Internet Explorer in Windows 10.

1. Click on Start Menu.

2. Then type “Internet Explorer” without the quotes on Search box and click on it.



I suggest you to run the printer troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Good printer that is cheap

If he will be printing a lot of shipping labels, it would probably be best to invest in a shipping label printer. The thermal type cost a little more from the start but you save big time over the long run by never having to buy toner or ink.
