Windows 10: How can I set up my pin after getting a new motherboard if I can’t access the internet

I’ve gotten a new motherboard and it’s forcing me to set up a new pin, but when I try to connect to my internet it doesn’t show anything it just shows flight mode that isn’t accessible and that’s it, any work around with this?

I am having an issue after replacing a motherboard. When I boot into Windows 10 it says “Your PIN is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device. Click to set up your PIN again.” However I cannot get internet currently I believe the Ethernet driver is out of date.

Yes, it is possible to reset your PIN without an internet connection. Here are the steps you can follow:

> On the sign-in screen, click on the Ease of Access button in the bottom right corner.

> Select On-Screen Keyboard.

> Click on the Sign-in options button and select Password.

> Enter your password and sign in to your account.

> Once you’re signed in, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.

> Under Windows Hello PIN, click on the Add button and follow the instructions to set up a new PIN.

Unable to add new PIN after new motherboard installed (Win 10)

So I was able to create a local admin account and setup that pin and fingerprint. However, it doesn't have any of my settings, etc. associated with my original Microsoft account which I still want to fix for security, and also for convenience -- everything is the way I want it.

Your steps produced the same "Access is denied" on the new account.

Any other suggestions so I can move forward easily?
