How can i specify multiple values for -notlike correctly for apps?

    Hello,

At our school, we are using Windows 10 but our computers are running slower and slower because it install useless apps during welcome screen and taking up space. i had found out that there was 51 users logged in in 1 computer and some teachers told me that some computer is taking long time to login for the first time and second login, too. I'm making my own script that deletes all useless apps. this command does not keep calc, media player, and photos

Code: Get-AppXPackage | where-object {$_.name –notlike "*store*", "*photos*", "*zunevideo*", "*windowscalculator*"} | Remove-AppxPackage[/quote] How can i specify multiple values for -notlike correctly?

    :)

  2. How can I Specify a location for Windows 10 automatic Updates

Hi Dennis. I'm Greg, a volunteer installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

Unfortunately you'd cannot install Windows Updates to an external hard drive.

Here are strategies to deal with Updates on a smaller hard drive:

    https://www.groovypost.com/howto/maximize-stora...

When it comes time for Version Updates you can download the ISO file from Media Creation Tool to a flash stick on this or another PC if necessary. Then open it on the target PC, right click Setup to Run as Administrator to version Upgrade.

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m...

You can do that now for Fall Creators Version 1709 if you need it.

At least once I'd use that booted media to Clean install which frees up a lot of space, then save a System Image to the external so you can reapply it at any time in 20 minutes. Follow the illustrated Clean Install steps in this tutorial which compiles the
best possible install that will stay that way as long as you stick with the tools and methods given:

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

For the best backup I'd use free Macrium for both files and image backup:

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

  3. How can I Specify a location for Windows 10 automatic Updates

You can't move Windows Updates to another location. You can of course change the location of apps and files.

Also, an external hard disk is not appropriate for moving files or apps. You should invest in SD card with enough space.

    See the following:
