Windows 10: How can I stop a frozen bitlocker encryption?

I had windows 10 reinstalled recently on my laptop, before the installing process, I enabled Bitlocker on one of my drive partitions, it froze for some reason and I didn't think it would be a problem but after reinstalling the windows whenever I open it, it keeps saying encryption in progress, I left it plenty of time afterwards but it's still frozen at 36%, the real problem is not that it's frozen, it's the lag it causes! Tried to take out of it as much files as I could and delete the partition, shrink it or even decrypting it through both Command Prompt and Powershell but it just ends up in a loop and the encryption is still going no matter what I do. Tried to turn Bitlocker off but now it's not even giving me the option to turn it back on and causing a major lag.

I have no idea what to do and every website has the same solutions! would really appreciate it if anyone can help!

I suggest you to perform below mentioned steps to disable BitLocker.

To disable BitLocker I would suggest you try the following steps and see if it helps.

  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.

  Change View by from Category
  to Large Icons/Small Icons.
  
• 
  Click on BitLocker Drive Encryption and click on
  Turn BitLocker Off.
  
• 
  Follow on screen instructions. Click on Decrypt the Drive
  when the message appears.
