How can I remove "news and interests" from my task bar? Turning it off didn't help, of course.

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

I suggest you follow the below steps and check if it works:

Create a toolbar for the folder:

• 
  Right-click on the Taskbar.
  
• 
  Click on Toolbars and on
  New toolbar.
  
• 
  Browse to the folder and click Select
  Folder.
  

If the issue still persists, try to copy the folder into different and follow the above steps.

News and interests in search bar?

Windows 20H2

So on taskbar settings I have News and Interests turned OFF. And it is off

After a recent Windows update I now seem to have them in my search bar! (Still says turned OFF on taskbar settings).

With a little picture in the search bar each day which, if clicked on, opens another News and Interests type page.

Any idea how to turn that off?! To much news and interests!
