How can I stop OneDrive from automatically deleting all my files?

I have never intentionally set up OneDrive or tried to use it, but I needed to sign in to Outlook and OneDrive immediately started moving everything from my desktop and documents folders from all of my PC's. I tried to "un-synch" those folders and it deleted all of the files, most of them I had backed up on a USB drive so it wasn't too bad, but everything I have tried to turn off or stop OneDrive it keeps removing all of my files - but now OneDrive says it is FULL so I need to buy extra storage to access my files - I don't want to use OneDrive at ALL, and am tired of having to copy everything

    :)

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

OneDrive automatically deleting files from OneDrive folder

Unlinking the 2nd PC from onedrive, deleting all the synced folders on the 2nd PC, and signing back in seems to solve all the issues. I no longer see onedrive deleting files automatically. It has been 3 days and things appear to be normal.
