Windows 10: How can I stop the Windows Photo App from automatically enhancing my photos in Windows 11 Pro?

I am a professional photographer and I recently bought a new Windows 11 Pro laptop. When I transferred my photos to the desktop and tried to view them, the Photo App automatically "enhances" them which must be Microsoft code for "making worse", ruining my shots. Worse still, this seems to translate to all other photo apps. So even if I download Lightroom or some other app, the changes that the Windows Photo App made will persist, even in the RAW files! Photos App Automatically Enhances Photos for Viewing

Since June of this 2018 I have noticed that the photos uploaded from my camera in raw format onto the computer running Win 10 Pro look enhanced when I open them for viewing and culling. When I import them into my photo editor (Not the Photo APP with Win10
Pro) they resume their raw appearance. Why does WIN10 Pro enhance photos automatically whether you want them to or not. Is there another way to view my photos on my hard drive without using Windows Photo App? They are enhanced even if I don't choose to
edit them in the App.

Windows 10 Photo App Enhance

Hello Jana,

To turn off the auto-enhance feature of the Photos app, follow these steps:

• Click Start and type Photos then hit
  Enter.
• On the lower left side panel, click Settings.
• Under Automatically enhance my photos, just move the slider to
  Off.

Does anybody know, what happened to the "Automatically enhance my photos" option in the Windows 10 Photos app?





I can't find it in my Photos app of the version 2017.39081.15820.0.

Is this functionality no longer available?
