  1. How can I tell which app is keeping my taskbar from hiding without having to click on each app?

Example: I have my Win10 Enterprise Taskbar set to Auto Hide. Sometimes, I face an issue where I am unable to view the bottom part of my application as the taskbar doesn't auto-hide. To resolve this, I either have to relocate the taskbar or click on all the applications on my taskbar until I locate the one that's trying to convey a trivial message. This enables me to hide the taskbar and view my screen in its entirety once again. This is quite frustrating and seems to be taking up a lot of time. I'm looking for a solution to quickly identify the app that needs my attention. This way, I can hid

  2. how to effectively hide or disable the taskbar?

    Hi,

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?

If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

    • Right click on Taskbar.
    • Click on Properties
    • Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
    • Click on OK.

    Hope this information helps.

How can I tell which app is keeping my taskbar from hiding without having to click on each app?

App for auto-hiding the taskbar based on tablet mode and orientation

Although there is an existing paid-app that automatically hides the taskbar in tablet mode, I wished for more functionalities. I ended up writing a little application and would like to share it with anyone looking for something similar.

    Features:
    • Auto-hide taskbar can be turned on or off independently for each combination of tablet mode and screen orientation.
    • Install for all users.
    • Free and open source.

You can download the application here.
