Windows 10: How can I transfer a payment that I accidently made on an account to another?

I signed into my Microsoft account and took the steps to get a new alias but when I entered the email I wanted to add, it would not let me. The message would say "This email address is already taken. Please try another." I am not sure if it is because I already have my Microsoft account and now I cant change it over or something else.

Update Payment Method to Replace an Expired Credit Card

Balances can be transferred to a new payment method can be taken care of on the
Microsoft Commerce website. After signing in to your account,



1.Sign in to the Microsoft account website.

2.Under payment options, click the payment method you want to modify and ensure it is correctly set.

3.Under subscriptions, click manage, and then click change payment option for the service you want to migrate.

4.Click the payment option you want to transfer to within the list of the active payment options, and then click Next

5.Click Add new payment option and then click Next. This will redirect to payment option page.

6.On the Confirm transfer page, confirm the balances and services you want to transfer, and then click Confirm transfer.

7.You will receive a message that says your balance and services have been transferred to the new payment method.

Multiple questions about installing - transfer accounts etc.

According to you, the accounts were Windows built-in admin, a local admin and standard user. None of them needs to be moved.

The built-in admin account, as the name says, will be there when you boot the laptop first time. It is disabled by default, you just need to enable it. For two other accounts, simply create same accounts on laptop.

Attach the HDD to laptop using an external USB enclosure, copy contents of data folders to respective folders on laptop.

You mentioned that the desktop accounts were / are local accounts, not Microsoft accounts. See the options to get Pro here:

If you can still access Windows on desktop, boot it up, make it a Microsoft account and link license to that MS account. Tutorials:
