Hi All,I need to transfer my retail copy of Windows 10 Home from my old Microsoft account to my new Microsoft Account. I have access to both accounts. I would like to consolidate all to the new account moving forward. Both the old and new MS account are on the same PC, so no change of device is required.I purchased my copy of Windows 10 Home from a retailer and have the physical box, key and USB. Windows 10, Core edition, Retail channel.I have seen suggestions to switch to a local administrator account, however I do not have this option under Settings > Accounts > Your Info.My goal is

If you upgraded from a retail box copy Windows 7, it has retail transfer rights.

According to you, the accounts were Windows built-in admin, a local admin and standard user. None of them needs to be moved.

The built-in admin account, as the name says, will be there when you boot the laptop first time. It is disabled by default, you just need to enable it. For two other accounts, simply create same accounts on laptop.

Attach the HDD to laptop using an external USB enclosure, copy contents of data folders to respective folders on laptop.

You mentioned that the desktop accounts were / are local accounts, not Microsoft accounts. See the options to get Pro here:

If you can still access Windows on desktop, boot it up, make it a Microsoft account and link license to that MS account. Tutorials:

How to transfer retail windows 10 to another microsoft account?

I have a Windows 10 retail version tied to a family member's Microsoft account. I want to transfer that Windows 10 retail license to the new PC under my own Microsoft Account. Am I able to do this or is it just always tied to the other Microsoft Account?
