Windows 10: how can i transfer photo album that i just made to external drive i am getting a new computer

i selected a ladge amount of photo and now want to put that album in my externa hard drive as i am getting a new computer soon

If you have created an album in the Photos App, that is not a physical collection, it is just a virtual structure, you need to export that to create the physical album

Open an Album, then at the top, choose Share - Upload and Share

Then follow the steps and that album will be created on your OneDrive account

On the New PC you cam log into OneDrive to download that album:

With regards to the rest o your photos which are not in albums, you can copy those out of the Pictures folder in File Explorer to an external hard drive to copy them over to the new PC . . .

 

Transfer albums and photos to new computer?

If I organize all my photos and videos in the Microsoft Photos app on my pc, then get a new pc...what happens to all my files?

Do I then have to reorganize all my photos and videos again? Or is there a way to transfer all the albums and such as they are to the new pc?
