how can i transfer text messages from my i-phone to my computer running windows 10? Do I need a particular app?

Hello,

I have a Nokia 920 (Running Windows 8, and no SD card slot) and just bought the Windows 950XL phone (running Windows 10).

I have been trying to transfer my text messages from my old phone to my new phone, using the backup function in Windows. However, the backup seems to be done correctly as some settings and apps from my old phone appear on my new phone.

However, text messages do not. I have read through various online forums but haven't had success in getting my old text messages.

Any suggestions?

I currently have a HTC Touch Diamond running Windows Mobile 6.1. I am wanting to buy a Windows Phone 7 based device but before I do, I need to know the answer to a question.

How do I transfer the Text/SMS messages from the Windows Mobile 6.1 phone to the Windows Phone 7 when I buy it?

I have many important Text/SMS messages that I need to be able to transfer over to the phone, so I need to be able to do this before I purchase a Windows Phone 7 device. I'm currently syncing Text/SMS messages to the Microsoft MyPhone service on
the Windows Mobile 6.1 phone if that's of any use.

I own a Nokia 5310 and would like to transfer the 3000 text messages I have on the phone, the the computer. Kindly reply with helpful advice.
