Windows 10: How can I transfer windows 10 pro installed on a laptop to a desktop?

Hello, I have encountered a problem regarding windows activation. I had a notebook with windows 10 pro with digital license linked to microsoft account. Today I tried to run the command "slmgr.vbs /upk" on the laptop so I can use the code in the desktop pc but nothing, it still tells me that the code is invalid. In the desktop I tried running the command slmgr.vbs /ipk xxxxx- xxxxx- xxxxx- xxxxx- xxxxx entering the other pc's license code but it gives error slui.exe 0x2a 0xC004F069. Under the laptop I found another product key different from the one also installed on the laptop but it doesn'

Multiple questions about installing - transfer accounts etc.

According to you, the accounts were Windows built-in admin, a local admin and standard user. None of them needs to be moved.

The built-in admin account, as the name says, will be there when you boot the laptop first time. It is disabled by default, you just need to enable it. For two other accounts, simply create same accounts on laptop.

Attach the HDD to laptop using an external USB enclosure, copy contents of data folders to respective folders on laptop.

You mentioned that the desktop accounts were / are local accounts, not Microsoft accounts. See the options to get Pro here:

If you can still access Windows on desktop, boot it up, make it a Microsoft account and link license to that MS account. Tutorials:

Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

 

Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

I have bought a legit "Windows 10 Pro" key of a key website. It is legit since i'm currently using it for over a year now. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC and I want to do a clean install. I just can't find the windows 10 Pro download in the tool. But if i could use a windows 10 pro key with a normal windows 10 install, I'll be good to go.
