Windows 10: How can I troubleshoot the connectivity and audio issues with my AirPods on my Lenovo...

Hello, I would love some help getting the sound and microphone to work on my Airpods when they are connected to my Lenovo laptop. For the last year, I have noticed that my AirPods would be "Connected" to my laptop. However, the sound plays on my laptop. I have removed my AirPods, factory reset them and then reconnected them to my laptop. Yet, the initial problem persists. For further testing, I connected my sister's AirPods, to find that it works as it should! The microphone and audio can be used by the AirPods. Airpods are connected, but no audio or mic.

Previously it would say Connected, Voice, Music, but this no longer is the case. The audio does not work.

This is not a problem with my AirPods as it works perfectly fine with other devices.

List of things I've tried that did not solve the problem:

Removing the device and reconnecting

Trying to connect from sound, when trying to connect to the airpod it would not show up.

Restarting Bluetooth drivers

Checking and installing updates for the computer.

Restarting the computer.

My make and model: Lenovo 82SX

 

My airpods connect to my hp laptop but then I can not make them the default output and input source for audio.

I tried the steps that you listed. I have not been able to get audio on the airpods yet, so it has happened every time I have tried to switch audio to airpods consistently for the past week since getting the laptop.

Please let me know if there are any other steps I can take to resolve the issue.

Thank you for replying.



I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below and see if that helps:

1. Press Windows Logo key + X, and select
   Device Manager.
   
2. Expand, Human Interface Devices.
   
3. Look for AirPods Audio/Video Remote Control HID and
   AirPods Hands-Free Call Control HID, right click on each entry and select
   Properties.
   
4. Go to the Power Management Tab, clear the checkbox for
   Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
   
5. Also, repeat step 4 for Bluetooth Low Energy GATT compliant HID.
   
6. Click on OK.
