How can I turn Connected Standby back on?

I generated a battery report and saw most of the time my computer was on Connected Standby even after I shut it down. So I turned Connected Standby off by following the instructions of this post https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-can-i-prevent-connected-standby-from-draining/81218788-f1b4-4d96-84d7-833c1ae12c7d by typing this into the Command Prompt and restart the computer: reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power /v PlatformAoAcOverride /t REG_DWORD /d 0Now the Connected Standby section on the battery report is no longer

    Critical Process Died after Standby

We appreciate your time responding back to us. At this point, we would suggest that you turn off the fast startup option. This will help us eliminate the error that you encounter when waking up your computer from standby. Kindly follow these steps to turn
    off the fast startup:

    • Press the Windows key and type Control Panel.
    • Press Ctrl + F and type Power Options.
    • Click Power Options and select Choose what the power buttons do in the left pane.
    • Uncheck the Turn on fast startup box and click Save changes.

We'd like to know the results of the said resolution.

  3. Pc will not wake up from Standby

i would suggest you check how it is set to resume from standby, does your monitor automatically power off when the computer is turned off or do you have to press the power button on the monitor itself?

Adding CONNECTION to Active Standby icons

I do think that you can add anything below 'Settings' as a Standby icon. If you chose 'Settings' though you only have one more level to reach 'Connections'

To change your Active Standby icons, go to Menu/Tools/Settings/General/Personalisation/Standby Mode/Active Standby apps. Then select the Shortcut you want to edit and pick from the list, before selecting OK.
