Windows 10: How can I turn up the brightness on a mac monitor connect to my Dell laptop?

I am in the display settings and when I identify the monitor and use the slider, nothing happens, it only changes the brightness on my Dell laptop, not the monitor.

Hi,

I've tried to connect my Dell laptop to my MAC monitor using HDMI to thunderbolt, and HDMI to mini display cable and neither works.

I can do FN+F8 and try each of the options and nothing happens.

I cannot find any other options to try or change. Any suggestions?

To change your Windows 10 monitor brightness, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Click the Windows logo; then, search for Control Panel.
• Select Hardware and Sound.
• Choose Power Options.
• On the next screen you should see brightness slider at the bottom of the Control Panel window.

Dell Monitor Camera

I have a Dell Monitor hooked to a Dell XPS Laptop. I want to use the monitor camera not the laptop camera. I've tried the suggestions from a closed thread about activating the camera but when I try the steps it keeps going to the laptop camera.

Suggestions or am I asking the impossible.
