Windows 10: How can i type ന്റ in correct format using Nirmala font in Ms word?

The specific issue I am facing is related to the formatting of a letter in Malayalam.I found difficulty to type the letter ന്റ .I have found that the current Malayalam font styles available in MS Word are limited, and there is a need for more diverse and contemporary options to enhance the quality of documents created in Malayalam.

Default hindi fonts are set as MANGAL (BODY CS)

I am using MICROSOFT INDIC LANGUAGE INPUT TOOL for the first time since 11.03.2020. Earlier I used to type hindi with GOOGLE INPUT TOOL online and apply copy-paste function in MS WORD/EXCEL for typing official letters. Now, I am using that of MS.

I use NIRMALA fonts, but the MS INPUT TOOL has default setting with the fonts MANGAL (BODY CS) which I do not like. Even I have saved HINDI letters in NIRMALA fonts, those letters are displaying in MANGAL (BODY CS) fonts that I never typed in that type of
fonts. Why is this happening? Is there any default function when I open a new document or older, I could find my document is NIRMALA fonts? Please guide regarding this.

I'm provably asking a stupid question. But is "Nirmala UI" is Windows 10 inbuild Hindi font?

I mean you could just paste this "बौद्ध" and change the font to "Nirmala UI".

I was typing in Mangal, which is inbuild Hindi font and it can't show the correct form of this word "बौद्ध". It's shows like this...





I'm asking that because I've installed so many fonts and now I can't say which is inbuild/installed...

Make sure that the selected text is not formatted with a style that overrides the font. For example, if the text is formatted with the "Heading 1" style, it may be using a different font that overrides your selected font. Try selecting the text and applying the "Normal" style to remove any overrides.

Check if the default font is set to the Malayalam font. In Microsoft Word, go to File > Options > General, and make sure that the "Default font" is set to the Malayalam font. Try copying and pasting the text into a new document. Sometimes, formatting issues can be carried over when copying and pasting text, so creating a new document may help.

As for adding the Malayalam fonts to the complex script list, you can try the following steps:

Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language.

Click on "Add a language" and select Malayalam.

Click on "Options" and select "Download and install language pack".

After the language pack is installed, go back to the Language settings, click on "Options" and select "Add a keyboard".

Select the "Malayalam" keyboard and add it to your list of keyboards.

You should now be able to select the Malayalam font from the complex script list.
