Windows 10: How can I unpin one drive folders from my file explorer quick access

I have been working to keep local files local, and one drive files on one drive, I don't want all my files on one drive. Frankly, I find it stupid that windows tries to save my desktop to one drive by default now. My frustration aside, I am trying to get one drive folders unpinned from my quick access side bar in file explorer so I can save most of what I do locally. I have my local libraries set up under my user folder, and they are pinned to the quick access, but every time I try to reorganize them, and put my local folders above my one drive folders, or better yet unpin my one drive folders

The folders that are pinned on your Quick Access are the one that you have previously opened. To resolve this, kindly follow the steps below to clear File Explorer history of your Quick Access:

• Right click on the Quick Access.
• Click Options.
• Click Clear besides the Clear File Explorer history.
• Click OK.

Quick Access Windows 10 Folder will not Unpin

I have 5 folders in my quick access in windows explorer. I am trying to unpin one of those folder but it will not unpin.

These are things I have tried:

1. Rename the folder in the original location (it changes names in quick access but will not allow me to unpin)

2. Moved all files out of the folder and deleted the folder. (it gives me an error message that the folder is gone but wont let me unpin it)

I have noticed 1 thing, when I click on quick access I see my five file location in windows explorer. The one I am trying to delete as a green circle with a check in the lower left corner, dont know if this has anything to do with it, no of the others have
this.

At this time the folder has been deleted and I just want it off of the quick access bar.

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”
