Windows 10: How can I update windows using an external hard drive? There is not enough space on C drive

My PC has 32gb memory and there's not enough space to update from version 1703 to 1803. How can I use the memory on my hard drive to update windows? Thank you.

I HAVE EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE WITH IGB SPACE AND NO SPACE FOR WINDOWS 1O UPDATE ON C DRIVE

DONE ALL USUALS RE CLEAN UPS ETC AND MOVED FILES

HOW CAN I USE\MOVE SPACE ON EXTERNAL DRIVE TO INCREASE SPACE ON C DRIVE PLEASE?

HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD ALL UPDATES DIRECT TO EXTERNAL DRIVE??
