    How can i use my built in monitor camera on my laptop when i am connected via HDMI?


    My laptop is not detecting another cameraI am using a mac laptopAnd a dell inspiron 7700 AIO monitor with built in camera. i want to use the camera from my monitor when i have connected my laptop to it via hdmi

    1. Are you trying to connect for the first time?
    2. If not, has it worked before?

    It seems that the monitor/TV which you are trying to connect does not have setting to change input mode. Kindly refer to suggestion provided by 'Sandeep
    Ghatuary    ' dated July 1st 2011 HDMI - connect desktop computer
    to monitor    .

    Dell Monitor Camera

    I have a Dell Monitor hooked to a Dell XPS Laptop. I want to use the monitor camera not the laptop camera. I've tried the suggestions from a closed thread about activating the camera but when I try the steps it keeps going to the laptop camera.

    Suggestions or am I asking the impossible.
