  1. How can I use my stereo setting for audio in MS Teams?

I have a One Plus Bullets Bluetooth headphone. I use it to attend my meetings and sometimes listen to music simultaneously. The music quality is similar to that of a call audio. If I select One Plus Stereo driver in Teams settings, there is no audio output. Same result in he music app too Amazon Music. How can I make my teams to use hands free ag driver and music app to use stereo driver? Or use stereo drivers in both and use my internal mic for teams? Previously I had wired earphones and worked like a charm. I tried switching to other bluetooth headphones. Same problem.

    :)

  2. Audio streaming hiccups while connected to car stereo and MS Band - using HTC One M8

    • Phone: HTC One M8 Windows Phone on Verizon - fully updated
    • MS Band: fully updated
    • Location & Connectivity: In my car and connected to both the car stereo and Band via Bluetooth
    • Activities:
      • Streaming audio through car stereo (xbox music, TuneIn Radio or ESPN Radio)
      • Band receiving notifications from phone
    • Problem:
      • When the band syncs (seems to be every 15 minutes) or i get any notifications, it causes severe hiccups to my audio stream
    • MS Band Support says there is no option to change frequency of notifications. The only solution they can provide is to manually disconnect the band from the phone by disabling Bluetooth or going to airplane mode. They suggested I reach out to phone support
to see if there is a way to prioritize Bluetooth connections on a windows phone.

Microsoft Teams Audio faint for multiple users

We've had a number of users who recently received new devices complain of faint microphone output.

    Devices affected

    • 3 x New Surface Pro 7
    • 2 x New Surface Pro Book 3
I'll add steps we've taken to test the device at the bottom.

So far, we believe it may be user-specific as we have been unable to replicate the issue using a local admin account.

These devices were provisioned ~1 week ago. Users raised the issue shortly after they were delivered.

There is nothing physically wrong with the devices. No bangs, scuffs, cracks, screen protectors, etc.

    Steps taken so far:

    On end-user profile

    • Current call is done via Teams and mic audio is definitely quite low
    • Checked Mic settings and are already all at max
    • No Booster available for Mic
    • No additional settings in Teams to enhance mic audio
    • Ran Windows Updates and no updates found
    • Checked Device Manager and is up to date there as well
    • Computer was just rebooted not too long ago too
    • Checked Recording sound options
    • Reset sound options to default
    • Troubleshoot Realtek microphone - didnt pick up anything
    • uninstalled microphone realtek audio drivers
    • restarted computer - tested on Teams - still very faint
    On Local Admin profile

    • Tested mic via camera app and teams call - Could not replicate the issue.

Please let me know if there's any additional information that would help find a solution.

    Teams and my microphone

    Hello GrahamColls,

My Name is Paul one of the Community Expert and a Windows & Teams user like you. I do apologize that the application doesn't recognize your Microphone. Let's try to check the TEAMS settings first and lets see what is the default Mic that is set.

    Steps:

    * On MS Teams click your profile on the upper right corner (With Profile Picture).

    * Choose Settings.

    * Go to Devices and choose your preferred device such as Audio and Microphone.

    * You may also want to visit the Permissions under setting sand make sure MS Teams allows your Audio, Microphone and Camera.

If the above steps did not resolve the issue kindly get back to me.

    Regards,
