Windows 10: How can I use the Key I purchased with my Windows 11 Pro download? Explanation below.

I had Windows 11 Pro when I bought this PC. It has been acting rather wonky lately, so I decided to reinstall Windows 11 Pro. I purchased it off the Microsoft website onto a thumb drive. I saved all my files and programs on a separate disk so I could do a complete overhaul of windows on my PC. It loaded right up and did not as for my key.I searched to see that another key had been used. Is this a generic key? Can I still use the key I purchased and overwrite the one they used?Just wondering! Thanks for taking the time help me here! I am something of novice! ~ Calvin

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

 

Just purchased a Licence Key for Windows 11 PRO, copied it then it disappeared... which sorcery is this?

I've purchased few minutes ago for GBP 220 a Product Key for upgrading my laptop from Windows 11 to Windows 11 PRO.

Right after the purchase a webpage appeared with my product key. Great.

I've copied it and then went to Settings --> System... I found my verson of Windows 11 and went to change product key to activate the Windows 11 PRO I've just bought.

The process returned error.

When I went to find the prevous webpage with my product key on it I couldn't find it. The page just reloaded to a new purchasing page.

In my order, I cannot find the product key.

In my mail I've never received a confirmation for the order and never received a code.

What is this way of selling stuff that don't work and then make the licence key to disappear?

Are you taking you customers for fools even more?

Is there a valid explanation for this horrific customer experience?

 

Can't upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro

I suggest you to download and create an installation media for Windows 10 Pro form the link provided below:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10

After the installation media is created, suggest you to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from the installation media. When the upgrade asks for product key, enter the product key purchased for Windows 10 Pro. If it does not accept, suggest you to skip the activation
step. After the Operating System is installed, suggest you to activate by phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select the Region from the list and click Next.
• Call the Toll-Free number provided on top and can activate via phone.
