Windows 10: How can I use wifi direct to connect two computers on win11 with wlan card, or connect...

I have a desktop with asus b650-a wifi motherboard, which has a MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922 RZ616 160MHz Wireless LAN Card. Since win11 drop the wireless hosted network and I cannot access to internet, I cannot use hotspot on win11 and can only choose wifi direct to connect another laptop or my mobile phone. But I cannot find the settings of wifi direct on win11, and I cannot find my desktop wlan is on on my mobile phone wifi direct. How can I connect my desktop and my mobile phone? I want these two devices in one same segment to use my mobile phone to watch the anime on my desktop through wi

OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?

Go to Network sharing centre, click Change Adapter settings, right click Wi-Fi and disable it, reboot and enable it, might work. If you still find it difficult to get the connection working, let us know the Wi-Fi card make and the driver you have at the moment.

 

UNWANTED auto-connection to WLAN

Thank you for your suggestions, and apologies for my delay in replying. Poor health.

I have tried each of the suggested solutions, but still do not have the wanted result.

• WLAN connection deleted and reconfigured. While the WLAN was absent, the provider internet connection began self-connection just as the WLAN had done.
  • On reconfiguring the WLAN, both it and the provider internet connection began self-connecting.
• On re-setting the factory settings, as soon as boot completed, internet connection was requested. On dismissal of request, WLAN self-connected as before.

It would seem that something really wants to get out onto the web, or maybe the 'phone is just 'phoning home.

Please help.
