Windows 10: How can save the video I screen record through my capture card in whole?

Hello, im gonna explain my issue in the best way i can possible so bare with me. When i was using obs to record my gaming videos the full video wouldnt save it would just say “ stopping recording” forever. So i switched to recording off of movavi and it worked for a while…. Until my recording wouldnt save completely. I would only get half of the video recorded through my capture card. When i check my files for the video it there but when i press play it only plays half of the video not the rest. I tried playing it on movavi and it did the same until i let it sit and i play the rest of the fram

For better clarity, please let us know:

• Which application are you using to record the screen?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

If you are using Game Bar to record the screen, I suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below:



Change Game Bar settings:



I would suggest you to change the capture settings for Game Bar and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Gaming.
   
3. Click on Captures on the left pane.
   
4. Under Recorded video, change the
   Video frame rate to 60 fps.
   
5. Now, set the Video quality to
   high from the drop down.
   

Change the game video settings:



You may also want to change the video settings for the game to full screen windowed mode.



Check Xbox Game Monitoring service:

1. Press Windows Logo key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type services.msc and click on
   OK.
   
3. Scroll down and look for Xbox Game Monitoring, and see if the service is running.
   
4. If the service is not running, right click on the service and select
   Start.

Where to find Windows 10 Screen recorder

When you say Screen recorder are you referring to Problem Step recorder?

Steps Recorder is a feature which can automatically capture the steps you take on the computer. It also creates a text description of where you clicked and
the screen shot during each click. To get more information about the Step recorder feature please check the steps below.

How to open and use Steps Recorder:

• In the search bar type Step recorder and click on it.
• At the right side of steps recorder, click on the
  dropdown arrow.
• Choose Settings to continue.
• Under settings Name the file and specify
  saved location.
• In the Steps Recorder Settings dialog box, click Browse button.
• Name output file, choose file type (e.g
  ZIP Files or XML Files), specify saved location and click
  Save.
• After making the above changes Enable Screen Capture option by selecting
  “YES”.
• Set number of screen captures and click on OK. (By default the number of screen capture is set to 25.)
• You can use the features of step recording like Start Record, Pause Record, Resume Record, Add Comment
  and Stop Record while using the step recorder.
• Later you can check for the output of the file that you have worked on.
  

Note: You will not be able to create short videos of the screen recording using this application.

Laggy Video and Choppy Audio from Screen Recorder Captures

Occasionally, I like to use Windows 10's Game Bar to perform Screen Captures from disks I run on VLC.
For the longest time, I had no issues, but recently I've encountered the problem of each new capture I make having audio distortions.
The sound is choppy, when there is no reason for it to be. Occasionally, video can lag in tandem.

During recording, it is possible to identify if the final product will be faulty, for the video will jitter and lag if this is the case.

To clarify - I am only recording source audio; my microphone is not being used to record my voice.
I do not set my laptop's volume to max - the first time I encountered the issue, it was solved by simply turning down my volume.

Now, it doesn't matter, for the problem persists.

Can anyone suggest why my screen recorder is misbehaving?
