Windows 10: How can the detection zone for the window resize cursor be increased?

How can the detection zone for the window resize cursor be increased?This is for a person who is finding it difficult to control a mouse on exactly the spot the cursor should change to the resize cursor or changing the size of any window popped out Outlook E-mail window size, Web Browser window size, etc..It does not need to be a massive change however, it is making using a computer difficult for that person. The person in question has no other issues with reading the screen etc., which means I just need to know how to make the detection zone for the cursor a little larger and change nothing

However one major flaw with this tweak is if you use autohide taskbar increasing the BorderWidth will make the hidden taskbar stick out more.

 

How to increase edge zone for text cursor

@chili So I tried it out and it works. But hit a snag. In certain apps it thickens the border accordingly. For instance my QuickBooks accounting app has internal windows. They are normally about 2-3 pixels wide. The border of these windows got quite thick. (See below image) Another thing I noticed is, that fixed size windows (CabinetWClass) such as the "system properties" fixed size window get resized, in some cases the window frame on the bottom partially cutting into the buttons. (See below image) The other thing I observed is that every window, although the frame is not affected the title bar gets thicker taking up space. So I guess I live without the adjustment and deal with the narrow cursor edge zones. *Sad

 

How to increase edge zone for text cursor

Is there a way to increase the text cursor edge zones? Meaning how far you can move the text cursor away from the word till it turns into the mouse pointer. Depending on the app or window I find it can be difficult sometimes to highlight the first letter of a word in the beginning of a sentence or last letter of a word at the end because the zone where it turns into either a text cursor or pointer is very narrow.
