    How can the Start Menu be customized?


    I was able to determine the three folders that contain the Start Menu items here: Windows 10: why can't I customize the Start Menu .

    I was then able to add "Microsoft Office" to the Start Menu, but only if I put it in ...\users\username. Trying to create the Microsoft Office entry in the Start Menu did not work if I put it in either of the other two folders.


    When I tried to create a "Games" entry in the Start Menu, I was not able to create it by putting it in any of the three folders.

    Start Menu and Taskbar customization

    Hi everyone,

    Does anyone have recommendations on how to customize the start menu and taskbar for a deployment image? I've tried customizing the start menu and taskbar, then exporting the configuration into a XML, but the start menu appears in two columns when I want it half way along with the taskbar settings not sticking.

    Any suggestions will be great!
