Windows 10: How can we see what is wrong with an account and get a team member back into his laptop?

Last Thursday upon returning from dinner, one of our team members could sign back into his laptop. He kept getting the following error message... "you can't sign into this account, try another account". Note, he was signing in with his PIN. When he tried to use his password, he received an error that it wasn't correct. We tried numerous times to reach out to Microsoft to no avail. Finally, we reset the entire laptop thinking there was a system error. With the new set up, it is asking us for his password and now it just says it is wrong even though that is what we see on the 365 account.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. Please be kindly to use Teams on the web(Log In | Microsoft Teams) to log in your account and check if you can successfully attend the meeting.



If you can successfully attend meeting In Teams on the web, it means there is something wrong with your Teams client. You can try the following suggestions.

1. Log out your account and log in again. Restart your Teams.
   
2. Clear Teams cache. Quit Microsoft Teams if it shows on the status bar>Copy and paste the following location (%appdata%\Microsoft\Teams) into File Explorer>Delete contents of the entire folder>Restart Microsoft Teams.
   
3. Uninstall your Teams and Re-install your Teams.
   
4. If your Teams is not the latest, please update to the latest.

Join Teams for work or school meeting with personal Microsoft account

Microsoft Teams Insider Blog: As a part of ongoing work to improve the experience when joining Teams meetings, we have just made a new update available for Teams Insiders. When using your personal Teams account to join a meeting that originated from a Work or School Teams account, you previously had to join as a guest, often causing your meeting to open in a web browser with limited functionality. Now you can join as your signed-in personal Microsoft account from within the Teams app on Windows 11, providing a better meeting experience for all parties. In the first phase of rolling out this new functionality, you will get the new experience when joining a Teams for work or school meeting from within Teams free by tapping a Teams for work or school meeting link in a chat or community within Teams free. Your signed-in personal Microsoft account will be used when you join the meeting.

If you dont have the Teams meeting in your Teams free calendar, a nice little trick is to forward the meeting invite to the email you use to sign in to Teams free. Then you will have the meeting neatly in your Teams calendar, readily available for you to join the meeting when its time. How to join Teams Insider? Its easy to join Teams Insider for earlier access to new features and improvements:

1. Go to app settings in Teams free
2. Navigate to Teams Insider program section (you can get there directly with this link)
3. Tap Join button to join Teams Insider
4. Restart the Teams app and you have the latest features and improvements

my microsoft team keep show that it run into an issue

Normally when you get this error, you should confirm first using teams on the web to see if there is nothing wrong with your account. Please use this link to do so. https://teams.microsoft.com/, also check your network connection.

After confirming that everything is fine from there, I would suggest you to clear your teams cache using this steps.

• Log out of teams
  

• Quit Microsoft Teams. Right-click the icon and select Quit.
  
• Cut and paste the following location into File Explorer: %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams
  
• Delete the contents of the entire folder.
  
• Restart Microsoft Team
  
• Login again.
  

After that sign in first using your education account.
